Ioannis Marountas has studied Agricultural Engineering at the Agricultural University of Athens. Learned computer programming within the Infomatics Laboratory of the AUA.

Working more than 12 years as a web developer has developed a wide range of web applications using Ruby, PHP and Java including business logic and data handling from stockmarket, e-commerce and agriculture.

Since 2012 has joined the laboratory of Christos (Kitsos) Louis at IMBB as a web developer in an Agricultural research project (galanthos.gr) and since 2015 is a member of the Bioinformatics Support Group of IMBB.

Giorgio Papadopoulos holds a degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Palermo and (almost) a PhD in Biology from the University of Crete.

His main scientific research focuses on the integrative analysis of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data to identify and characterize transcription factor (TF) regulatory networks and chromatin dynamics of lineage commitment and cellular differentiation processes during hematopoiesis.

Main areas of expertise include molecular biology, genomics, computational biology and bioinformatics.
