Η ομάδα μας μελετά τους μοριακούς μηχανισμούς των νευροψυχιατρικών διαταραχών. Οι ερευνητικοί μας στόχοι μας είναι:
•    Να κατανοήσουμε πώς τα μιτοχόνδρια, τα εργοστάσια παραγωγής ενέργειας του κυττάρου, διαμορφώνουν συμπεριφορές σχετικές με το άγχος και το ψυχολογικό στρες
•    Να βρούμε μοριακές υπογραφές και υποψήφιους βιοδείκτες για νευροψυχιατρικές διαταραχές και για την απόκριση σε φαρμακολογικές παρεμβάσεις
•     Να διερευνήσουμε τα μιτοχόνδρια ως θεραπευτικούς στόχους για νευροψυχιατρικές διαταραχές

Δουλεύουμε με μοντέλα ποντικιών, δείγματα ασθενών και κυτταροκαλλιέργειες και χρησιμοποιούμε μεθοδολογικές προσεγγίσεις συμπεριφορικής βιολογίας, πρωτεομικής/μεταβολωμικής, πρωτεϊνικής βιοχημείας και φαρμακολογίας. Σκοπός μας είναι να δημιουργήσουμε ένα περιβάλλον συνεργασίας που προωθεί την επιστημονική εξέλιξη και επικοινωνία.
