International Proteomics Tutorial Programme - supported by HUPO and EuPA [pdf] [Home]
One of the most critical functions of the various Proteomics organizations is the training of young scientists and the dissemination of information to the general scientific community. The education committees of the Human Proteome Organisation (HUPO) and the European Proteomics Association (EuPA) together with the other local proteomics associations are therefore launching a joint Tutorial Program to meet these needs. The tutorials will be published in the following Journals: Journal of Proteome Research, Journal of Proteomics, Molecular and Cellular Proteomics, and Proteomic. The Tutorials will consist of a review/teaching article with an accompanying talk slide presentation for classroom teaching.
The first tutorials released are the following (click on the chosen title to access the tutorial):
- Two-dimensional gel electrophoresis in proteomics: A tutorial
By Thierry Rabilloud and Cécile Lelong
includes Supplementary file: a 45 slide educational Power Point file (19,2 MB)
- Fourier Transform Mass Spectrometry
By Michaela Scigelova, Martin Hornshaw, Anastassios Giannakopulos, and Alexander Makarov
- Protein identification using MS/MS data
By John S. Cottrell
includes Supplementary file: a 42 slide educational Power Point file (6 MB)
