Getting to Heraklion

Heraklion airport, named Nikos Kazantzakis, is connected by frequent flights with Athens, and in the tourist season with many other airports. Heraklion harbor is connected with Piraeus by overnight ferries leaving every evening.

Getting to the IMBB using local transport

Local bus line 11 leave either from the airport or alternatively the harbor going through the city center. Frequent buses go to PAGNI hospital and the University campus, while a few departures in the morning and afternoon go to FORTH campus. IMBB-FORTH is a 10 minute walk from the University campus bus stop.
