    Description

The IMBB Genomics Facility provides services in high-throughput sequencing technologies to IMBB researchers and the broader academic community. Established in its present form in 2002, as the outcome of the continuous effort and growing expertise of IMBB in genomic sequencing, it provides a variety of up to date Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) applications and standardized bioinformatics analyses, while it continues to expand and enrich the available technics with novel protocols.
To date, the facility is equipped with Illumina, Ion Torrent and Affymetrix platforms, in addition to instrumentation for sample quality control during the different stages of an NGS workflow. The data generated at the IMBB Genomics Facility are stored; quality assessed and processed through protocol specific pipelines of different bioinformatics methods at our dedicated servers, before delivered to the scientist.
