Christos Andronis

Bioinformatics Lead

Christos Andronis currently leads the Bioinformatics Unit at IMBB-FORTH. Before joining IMBB, Christos has held similar positions at Deus ex Machina (ekmechanes.com), Biovista and Protein Pathways, Inc. Apart from coordinating projects that involve Bioinformatics omics data analyses, Christos has been leading biomedical data integration and harmonization projects using Ontological frameworks and controlled vocabularies following FAIR principles. In his past positions, Dr. Andronis has also been heavily involved in the systematic drug repurposing and drug adverse event predictions fields. Dr. Andronis has a long-standing interest in transforming experimental and textual data into knowledge useful to biomedical research.
